2024 Women in Sports Tech (WiST) Fellow

About the WiST Fellowship Program

The WiST Fellowship Program offers grants for summer internship experiences working in the sports tech industry. Sports tech is defined very broadly, as every role in the sports business is powered by technology, so we encourage women and nonbinary undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students who are passionate about sports in all degrees and disciplines to consider applying.

There is no requirement or expectation of previous experience in sports tech. This is what we provide! The Fellowship includes funding for an internship hosted by a WiST corporate partner. Our program includes professional development, 1:1 mentorship, and lots of networking opportunities outside of the internship that extend far beyond the internship experience.

WiST Fellows are matched to internships with a WiST Partner. You will list your top five choices in the application. Please click HERE to see the list of opportunities.

We strongly recommend that you DO NOT submit your application until after you have had a chance to review ALL the opportunities. There is NO benefit to submitting your application before the deadline of January 17, 2024.

If you already have an internship confirmed within the sports tech industry, the company is paying you and you’re interested in being a 2024 Fellow, please do not submit and reach out directly to info@womeninsportstech.org with your details.

Information Sessions

Applicants are encouraged to (but not required) to attend a Zoom information session with WiST CEO+Founder Marilou McFarlane and a WiST Fellow alum to learn more about the program and ask questions on one of the following dates, all times Pacific Standard Time (PST).
