Job Description:

The Senior Director, Network Operations is a critical part of the infrastructure team responsible for deploying, maintaining, and improving the network infrastructure at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, Cleveland Clinic Courts, Legion Lair (Home of the e-sports team, Cavs Legion GC), and various remote locations as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network operations, as well as experience leading teams of engineers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of engineers responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the arena’s network infrastructure
  • Develop and manage the network operations budget
  • Create, monitor, and adjust network performance metrics
  • Design and implement network security measures
  • Stay current with the latest technology and vendor trends
  •  Work with all teams within Information Technology to ensure that the network infrastructure can meet the needs of the arena’s applications & fan’s experience
  • Manage network outages and other network related issues
  • Coordinate and manage vendor relationships
  • Train and mentor other team members
  • Onsite non-business hours (rotation) support for, but not limited to, all Cavs games and all event load ins

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • 7+ years experience in network operations and engineering
  • Extensive experience with Virtualization (VMware preferred), Wi-Fi (Cisco preferred), network protocols, firewalls, routers, and switches
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience leading a team of engineers
