ABOUT THIS ROLE

Alternative investment firm focusing on real estate and asset management is seeking a driven, dependable self-starter with a desire to learn for an Analyst position in our Traverse City, MI office.

The Analyst will actively contribute to new acquisitions and real estate development projects, as well as to the management of investments across our existing portfolio.  This position is expected to lead research initiatives, conduct critical asset due diligence, and develop and maintain investment models, among other duties.

This is a full-time position at a dynamic and rapidly growing firm.  This is a unique opportunity for personal and career development across multiple investment disciplines.  At this team-oriented, early-stage company, the Analyst will interact directly with the executive team and immediately contribute to key strategic objectives.  Competitive salary and benefits package, located in Traverse City, Michigan.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

• Develop and maintain Excel models related to real estate, private equity, and venture capital.

• Conduct research and prepare materials related to investment offerings.

• Maintain up-to-date research of macroeconomic and regionally specific trends impacting portfolio holdings and potential acquisitions.

• This position may play the lead or supporting role in the following initiatives:

• Analysis for real estate development projects, real estate and business valuation projects, and due diligence.

• Completion of material for quarterly and annual investor reporting, along with other internal reporting needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, statistics, business administration, or related field required. 

• One to three years of recent, related experience in real estate or investment management.

• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

• Comfortable with Microsoft Office products.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience pertaining directly to comprehensive investment modeling. 

• Strong attention to detail.

• Comfortable performing critical tasks in a time sensitive environment.

• Ability to simultaneously balance time-critical and long-term projects.

• Commitment to delivering on objectives as projects demand.

• Ability to work in a rapidly evolving and results oriented environment.
