About the Team:

Our client is an exciting and rapidly growing sports tech scale-up with a global presence. Headquartered in Europe, they have recently secured Series A funding and are now focused on expanding their reach in North America by building a team based in the US. The company is driven by a talented group that shares a deep passion for sports, technology, and collaboration. Position Overview:

As the North American Media Sales Director, you will lead the charge in driving our clients’ rapid growth within the North American market. Your primary focus will be to identify new opportunities and secure partnerships in sports production with a variety of potential clients, including broadcasters, producers, leagues, federations, and conferences. You will concentrate on selling to sports leagues and media companies operating at the tier 2 professional level and below. Building strong relationships, negotiating effectively, and fostering business growth will be key components of your role. You'll report directly to the Director of Media Sales and collaborate closely with our head office in Europe. In this exciting position, you will play a vital role in a company that is transforming the industry!

Key Role Expectations:

  • Develop Effective Go-To-Market Strategies for Enterprise Sales: Thinks big, is creative and leans on knowledge of enterprise sales - selling to many with one sale.
  • Build Awareness Through Marketing: Network and create/lead account based marketing increasing awareness of our product in NA.
  • Build Pipeline: Create top of funnel of strong prospects.
  • Meet & Exceed Revenue Goals: Close deals and hit targets. 
  • Drive Entire Sales Process: Prospecting, lead product demos and presentations, negotiating terms and pricing, and closing.
  • Manage Forecast & CRM: Using Salesforce and Hubspot, manage all sales activity and forecasts. 
  • Build Network: Network effectively attending industry events and presenting when needed, show up always with high character representing the brand.

Skills & Experience You Will Bring:

  • Sports, Media, Broadcasting Sales Experience: 5-10 years of sales with proven track record of success of selling sports SaaS into media companies. 
  • Dealmaker: Career trajectory has been marked by consistent success, consistently surpassing revenue targets. Comfortable closing deals of $200K in size to help us grow our vertical 1.5x per year
  • Sports Knowledge & Network: Passion and knowledge about sports and technology so effectively can relate to, and communicate with their potential customers.
  • Executive Presence: Gravitas, exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex ideas and solutions to diverse audiences and executives. 
  • High Capacity Team Player: Ability to work alongside the leadership team to reach success, as well as take on a lot of administrative work personally. 
  • Innovative: Proactive and creative within our clients dynamic environment with high growth potential.  

Location & Physical Requirements:

  • Remote though ideally East Coast / New York
  • Mandatory working hours: 9am - 5pm EST
  • Occasional domestic and international travel required for team retreats and industry events
