Team And Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate individual to join our brand consulting team. This Senior Manager position will play a key role in the management and growth of a global financial services account and will work closely with the account team to manage the strategy of various partnerships, with a focus on sports centric properties. The candidate should have proven skills in property and asset management, strategy development, event activation, experience interfacing with clients and working effectively in an inter-agency environment while serving as the lead agency in that dynamic. Strong communications skills are a must. This role will involve direct interaction with senior level clients and colleagues.The position will be based at SPORTFIVE’S New York, NY office and the candidate will be a day-to-day contact with the client and agency partners. The ideal candidate will have previous brand strategy and partnership marketing experience, as well as advanced skills in Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.). Experience with managing event hospitality programming is a plus, but not required.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Manage client strategy and workstreams across multiple partnerships within the sports portfolio
  • Help guide strategy, evaluate partnership opportunities, and deliver new thinking to optimize partnerships
  • Support the development of the clients’ overall sponsorship strategy across sports, thought leadership, arts, culture, and entertainment
  • Support competitive landscape and insight reporting across sports, thought leadership, arts, culinary and entertainment verticals
  • Build effective working relationships and liaise with clients daily to ensure needs are being met and goals are being exceeded
  • Create and present one sheeters and PowerPoint presentations to sell recommendations and POVs through to client
  • On-site activation management and event execution when applicable
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient use of property assets
  • Lead junior team members while managing up to senior members of the team

Profile & Requirements

  • Previous experience / knowledge / interest sports, arts, culture, entertainment and talent partnerships
  • Excellent brand and partnership marketing strategy experience required
  • Strong communication and writing skills required
  • Ability to review and analyze industry research tools and platforms and incorporate data and insights into strategic recommendations
  • Experience presenting to high-level clients
  • Excellent strategic PowerPoint development
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while working independently and with multiple partners
  • Superior organizational skills and ability to problem solve/work effectively under pressure
  • Ability to travel and work on weekends as needed
  • Desire to work collaboratively while also taking ownership of tasks


Ideal Candidates Would Also Have The Following Experience

  • Experience building strategy from ideation to execution
  • Sponsorship activation
  • Knowledge of working with, professional sports and/or culinary, arts, cultural and lifestyle properties


Experience

  • 6+ years in a marketing and/or sponsorship position


Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sports and entertainment management or related field

  • Some travel required

Compensation

Salary Range: $90,000-$105,000

SPORTFIVE is providing the compensation range it might pay for this position. The rate of pay offered will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location.
